$INFER token
What the token does in the protocol, and what is not decided yet.
$INFER is the INFERVA protocol token. In the design it has three jobs:
- Stake for discounted inference, higher rate limits, priority routing and a share of protocol fees. See Staking & tiers.
- Bond as a provider to list models behind the endpoint. See Providers & bonds.
- Vote on fee, share, tier and bond parameters. See Governance.
Rewards to stakers come from fees agents pay, paid in USDG. The design has no emissions.

The INFER and USDG balances in the sandbox are test balances with no value. They will not convert into anything.
