Getting started
Quickstart
Get test balances, create an agent key and send your first request.
This guide takes you from nothing to a settled inference request in the sandbox. You need a browser and a terminal. No wallet is required.
- 1
Open the app and get test balances
Open dapp.inferva.xyz. The app creates a sandbox account for you: a random address kept in your browser. New accounts start with 50,000 test INFER and 1,000 test USDG (sandbox values).
Test funds are worth nothing. The sandbox address is not a wallet and is not authentication; anyone who has it in their browser controls it. - 2
Create an agent key
Go to Endpoint & keys and click New agent key. The secret starts with
inf_sk_and is shown once. INFERVA stores only its hash, so copy it now.export INFERVA_KEY="inf_sk_..."Requests made with the key are paid from your account's USDG balance. You can have up to 10 active keys and revoke any of them from the same page.
- 3
Send your first request
The endpoint uses the OpenAI-style chat completions format. Use
"model": "auto"to route to the cheapest active provider, or a model id from GET /v1/models.curl https://dapp.inferva.xyz/v1/chat/completions \ -H "Authorization: Bearer $INFERVA_KEY" \ -H "Content-Type: application/json" \ -d '{"model": "auto", "messages": [{"role": "user", "content": "Hello"}]}' - 4
Read the receipt
Next to the usual
choicesandusage, every response carries aninfervaobject: the provider that served it, your tier, the full cost breakdown and the settlement hash that links it to the previous request."inferva": { "provider": "Basalt Inference", "tier": "No tier", "cost_usdg": 0.000099, "breakdown": { "provider_cost": 0.00009, "discount": 0, "protocol_fee": 0.000009, ... }, "settlement": { "hash": "a3c9…e217", "prev_hash": "5d02…9b4f" } }Open Settlement log in the app to see the request in the chain and verify every hash in your browser.
