Staking & tiers
One stake gives you a discount, a higher rate limit, priority and a share of every fee.
Stake $INFER on the Stake page of the app. Your stake sets your tier, and your tier applies to every request made with your agent keys. You also earn fee rebates in proportion to your share of the total stake. You do not run any infrastructure.
Tiers
| Tier | Stake | Discount | Rate limit | Priority |
|---|---|---|---|---|
| No tier | below 1,000 INFER | 0% | 10 req/min | No |
| Tier 1 | 1,000 INFER | 5% | 30 req/min | No |
| Tier 2 | 10,000 INFER | 10% | 120 req/min | Yes |
| Tier 3 | 100,000 INFER | 20% | 600 req/min | Yes |
Fee rebates
Stakers share a part of every protocol fee (50% in the sandbox), weighted by stake. Each settled request adds its staker share to a global fee index. Your claimable rebate is your stake times the growth of the index since your last checkpoint. Rebates are paid in USDG.
- Rebates start accruing from the first request after you stake.
- Click Claim rebates at any time. Each claim is recorded with the epoch it was made in (1 hour in the sandbox).
- Staking more or unstaking checkpoints your pending rebates first, so nothing you earned is lost.
- In the sandbox there is no unstaking delay.
Priority
From Tier 2, requests are flagged as priority and the flag is written to the settlement record. The sandbox has no congestion queue, so the flag does not change ordering yet.
Governance weight
Staked INFER is also your voting weight. Tier 1 or above can create proposals. See Governance.
